Briquetter
This image was captured while exploring an abandoned coal mining operation along the Eastern Slopes of Alberta. After the coal was extracted, it was processed on site before being transported. Pressed between two large cylindrical drums, thousands of briquettes were produced each day through the briquetter.
Broken
This image was captured while exploring an abandoned coal mining operation along the Eastern Slopes of Alberta. While the room was full of coal-cart axle & wheel assemblies, this particular wheel with it's broken spoke told a story of many years of tough conditions in the mine.
Final Service
Nestled in the Badlands of southern Alberta, the tiny hamlet of Dorothy once served as a social and economic hub for the area. For several decades Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church served the community and continues to watch over the community.

Whether it was transporting people, material or livestock; the truck has always filled a critical role in the farming operation. In addition to these traditional roles, it often served as a boardroom with many important decisions and discussions held over the hood or in its cab. One thing is for certain, it was often a place of ponderance.
Portal to the Past
At the turn of the last century, British Columbia's coastal salmon fishery was a major economic driver. The shoreline of the Fraser River in Steveston was lined with docks, boardwalks, and canneries. With the preservation of some of these structures, they truly offer a Portal to the Past.
