About me
My Story
Hi. I’m Al. I was born in Edmonton and raised in Sturgeon County, Alberta. Much of my childhood was spent with my parent's Kodak Instamatic camera in front of my face, running around snapping shots of the world around me. There were even a few occasions where, after secretly liberating the camera from my mother's purse, I was lucky enough to find a roll of film in it. In the decades since, that childhood curiosity has grown & evolved to now fuel an intense passion.
In today’s technologically dominated urban landscape, I fear a time where our heritage and roots will be long forgotten. My mission… simple… remind us of where we all came from. As a result, much of my work focuses on our history & heritage, rural life, and our natural world.
Being based in Stony Plain, Alberta allows me to remain close to my rural roots. From the small farms and open vistas of the prairies, to the majestic mountains and waterways of the Canadian Rockies, and everything in between; we are truly blessed with a rich history, heritage, and natural world.
I welcome you to follow along on my journey and to check back frequently as this site continues to grow and evolve.
